Outstanding musical, smaller theaters: Wendy Knox kicked out the jams in her burlesque look at “The Cradle Will Rock” for Frank theatre. Other finalists were Jef Hall-Flavin’s “Falsettos” at outward spiral, Michelle Hensley’s “Carousel” for Ten Thousand Things and Peter Rothstein’s “Sunday in the Park with George” for Theatre Latté Da.
