New York Magazine’s choice for Best Play of 2023, a “completely wonderful” musical portrait of modern school life is “as riveting as it [is] sweetly funny.”
Directed by Morgan Green, this “extraordinary meditation on teaching and learning” is told in musical snapshots of individual teenagers. Solo writer-performer Milo Cramer, a former tutor, offers charming and keen observations of ten NY students fighting to get into competitive schools. At its heart are questions about what’s really worth knowing and worth sacrificing in a system in which success seems so arbitrarily distributed.
JUSTIN LUCERO NAMED ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF THEATER LATTÉ DA
Justin Lucero joined TLD as its new Artistic Director in October 2023 and launches the first slate of programming under his leadership with the 24/25 season.
OUR COMMMITMENT TO BECOMING
A MORE IDEA FOCUSED ORGANIZATION
UPDATED AUGUST 2024
Theater Latté Da has been undergoing an organization-wide assessment to rebuild and reimagine our processes, plans and purpose with an anti-racist and IDEA focused lens. As a primarily white-led organization we know that we have benefited from a position of white privilege and must work more intentionally towards becoming a more anti-racist and inclusive organization. We affirm our resolve to actively create an anti-racist arts organization demonstrating our commitment through action.
